Estimation of yield potential of local wheat landraces - Poster

The poster evaluates the yield potential of 30 local Serbian wheat varieties and landraces using NDVI, flag-leaf area, chlorophyll content, earliness and nutrient-remobilization measurements. Field trials identified L285, Novosadska crvenka, Hibrid 0.13 and Partizanka as promising genetic material for breeding higher-yielding and climate-resilient wheat varieties. This study has been financially supported through the Redesigning the exploitation of small grains genetic resources towards increased sustainability of grain-value chain and improved farmers’ livelihoods in Serbia and Bulgaria – GRAINEFIT, funded in the fourth project cycle of the Benefit-sharing Fund of the International Treaty on PGRFA.
