Klaus Vogel Lecture 2025: International Tax Law and the Equilibrium Between States and Corporations
This article revisits Klaus Vogel’s 1988 analysis of the fiscal equilibrium between states and corporations and applies it to contemporary international taxation. It argues that the boundaries of tax states and multinational enterprises are dynamic and contested, producing today’s disequilibrium in corporate taxation, especially in the global digital economy.
