METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO ASSESSING THE FRUIT AND BERRY MARKET

This article presents a system of indicators characterizing the state of the domestic fruit and berry market. Using a systems approach, a structural and functional diagram of the fruit and berry market has been developed and the factors driving its development have been classified. This system of quantitative and qualitative indicators of the functioning and development of the fruit and berry market complements traditional supply and demand indicators with a number of parameters characterizing the level of self-sufficiency, the potential of the fruit and berry market, and the effectiveness of its supply, thereby identifying potential saturation points. The proposed tools enable a reliable assessment of the fruit and berry market, identifying growth potential, and substantiating investment and agricultural policy priorities. This system of indicators can be used by domestic agricultural authorities to monitor the availability of fruits and berries to the population and to adjust regional fruit production development programs.
