Vitology after Comparison with Fundamental Scientific Theories: The Dynamic Cross-Domain Core of Viability and the Transition to Empirical Testing
This article concludes the comparative-theoretical Block H of the Vitology Scientific Series and defines the residual scientific core of the research program after systematic comparison with Systems Theory, Complexity Science, Cybernetics, Information Theory, Evolutionary Theory, Thermodynamics of Open Systems, Modern Control Theory, and Viability Theory. The scientific subtraction performed throughout Block H demonstrates that system organization, wholeness, self-organization, emergence, feedback, regulation, information, natural selection, fitness, adaptation, energy flows, entropy, dissipation, reachability, invariance, safe sets, viability kernels, and predictive control all have mature scientific predecessors and therefore cannot be treated as independent discoveries of Vitology. Following G42, the scientific subject of Vitology is defined not as investigation of system preservation alone, but as a testable cross-domain metrology of the dynamic viability outcome: the formation, change, preservation, loss, recovery, and development of viability over time. The possible residual scientific core includes: an explicitly specified carrier; system boundary and organizational level; critical functions; environment and temporal horizon; the Viability Observation Frame O_V; multidimensional Viability Profile Π_V; Viability Trajectory Γ_V; Dynamic Viability Outcome D_V; predefined operational measures of recovery and reserve; and characteristics of future viable continuations only insofar as they are not reducible to viability kernels, reachable sets, invariant sets, safe sets, and related established constructions. Synchroauthenticity, Aw–Con–CON, and the Norm of Harmony are retained only as candidate constructs requiring separate operationalization and testing of non-reducibility to established scientific analogues. The Source of Life and the Reality of the Field of Life remain within the philosophical–methodological layer of Vitology and are not introduced as empirically established physical forces, fields, or variables. Eight final H8 hypotheses are formulated. The strongest requires a predefined Vitological Model B to reproducibly outperform the strongest available domain-specific Model A in predicting future outcomes on independent data, while the structural effect must transfer across systems of different nature without requiring identity of mechanisms or measurement units. H8 therefore closes the conceptual-comparative stage of Vitology and transfers the research program toward empirical validation.
