Comprehensive magneto-optical transmission modelling and optimization for non-paraxial, partially coherent, Hermite–Gaussian beam in random media, considering Cotton–Mouton effects

For the first time, DC magneto-optical transmission through hematite, non-interacting nanoring suspension, has been modeled upon reconstructing the invariant imbedding method for the case of illumination by a non-paraxial, Hermite–Gaussian, partially coherent, broadband source. This rationale further allowed for constructing system optimization criteria and transmission maximization limits for the sake of generalization and a broader applicability of the involved approaches based on Schrödinger–Robertson generalized uncertainty relation. Furthermore, Cotton–Mouton and depolarization effects have been considered, in the time-dependent magneto-optical field. This involved leading the construction of validity limits to prevalent literature treatment of turbulence second moments as well as the structure factor of dynamically scattered stochastic wave fields, where a novel, generic definition is formulated. This further assisted in formulating the broadening parameter model that accurately predicts the experimentally verified increase in optical transmission. The aforementioned considerations are essential, not only for improving the efficiency of the invariant imbedding approach in general on which many applications are based but also for modeling magneto-optical transmission. Introducing this enhancement of the invariant imbedding approach as well as the establishment of comprehensive understanding for the entire fields of magneto-optics and complex media would have a considerable impact on crucial applications.
