To study the formation constants of rare-earth lanthanide metal complexes, Ce(III), Dy(III), and Gd(III), with pharmaceutical drugs like ligands L1-Etoposide and L2-Idarubicin.
ABSTRACT:The recentstudy of Ce (III), Dy(III) and Gd(III) metal ions with ligands L1-Etoposideand L2-Idarubicin has been investigated at 0.1 M ionic strength, pH-metrically, in a 70% DMF + watermixture at room temperature, 30 - 32 (±0.2) °C, (±0.1) °C by the Bjerrum method as adopted byCalvin Wilson. The estimated values of the proton-ligand stability constant (pK) and metal-ligandstability constant (log K) were compared with experimentally determined values using both thehalf-integration and point-wise calculation methods simultaneously. Metal ions are shown to form1:1 Complexes with L1-Etoposideand L2-Idarubicin.
