Ways to accelerate the development of organic agriculture in Azerbaijan

The article examines the problems and prospects of accelerating the development of organic agriculture in Azerbaijan. The essence and content of organic agriculture are given. Theoretical and methodological issues of organic agriculture are considered and summarized. The mechanisms of formation and development of the organic agriculture model of a group of countries are studied in terms of international experience. Taking into account global challenges, modern aspects of the organization and development of organic agriculture are systematized. The exceptional role of agriculture in the diversification of the non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan is noted. The role of agriculture in ensuring the country's food security and solving the employment problem is given. The exceptional role of agricultural development in the efficient use of the resources of the country's regions is substantiated. The processes of development of organic agriculture in Azerbaijan are analyzed and evaluated. The importance of state support mechanisms and targeted subsidies in the more efficient organization of organic agriculture is explained. The advantages of organic agriculture in the production of quality food products and the creation of reserves are given. Taking into account the near and far perspectives, recommendations have been prepared and proposals have been made for the intensification of the development of organic agriculture in Azerbaijan.
