BSAVA Vets Cymru meeting report

Non-traditional diets for dogs and cats are growing in popularity, with many pet owners turning to alternative diets. Veterinary professionals are often asked to provide advice on appropriate nutrition for pets to support owner’s diet choices. At BSAVA’s Vets Cymru, Georgia Woods-Lee, Clinical Lead at the Royal Canin Obesity Care Clinic at the University of Liverpool, explored the current evidence on two alternative diets that are gaining attention – raw meat-based diets and insect-based protein diets.
