Zoonotic disease

In light of recent reports of UK-based members of the veterinary profession with presumptive brucellosis attributed to Brucella canis, Emi Barker, Clinical Lead in Clinical Pathology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Bristol thought this might be a good time to review the current approach to this zoonotic disease. This is the first of a two-part series which covers the risk of infection, how to identify cases that could represent an increased risk, and how to mitigate that risk.
