THE YÌ-XÍNG-GUǑ MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING SYSTEM
The Yì-Xíng-Guǒ (意–行–果) Martial Arts Training System is an original martial arts training, teaching, and cultivation system created by Xinghong Wang in 2026. It was developed to provide a simple, practical, comprehensive, and adaptable method for organizing and applying the extensive theories and practices found across martial arts. The system is structured around three interconnected concepts: Yì (意) — mind, intention, awareness, thinking, understanding, insight, and mental guidance; Xíng (行) — action, practice, training, application, and testing; and Guǒ (果) — result, outcome, effect, benefit, and improvement. Yì guides Xíng and can also directly influence Guǒ; Xíng directly influences Guǒ; and Guǒ verifies and provides feedback on both Yì and Xíng. Before Xíng, appropriate Yì should be established; during Xíng, appropriate Yì should accompany the action. The Yì established before Xíng and the Yì accompanying Xíng need not be identical. Through repeated practice, observation, verification, correction, and refinement, the three form a dynamic system supporting continuing martial arts development. The system is intended for self-training, student instruction, martial arts teaching, practical application, the organization of martial arts theory and practice, and broader martial arts cultivation. It is not limited to any particular martial arts style and does not seek to replace the theories of existing traditions. Version 1.0 — August 2026.
