Corporate climate attention and transparency in China: Based on the signaling game model and principal-agent theory

Climate is an important content and core component of ecological civilization construction. This study explores the relationship between corporate climate attention and corporate transparency in general. This paper constructs a brief information game model and incorporating principal-agency theory to explore the relationship between a corporate climate attention and its corporate transparency. The signaling game model and principal-agent theory model show that the higher the corporate climate attention, the more "transparent" the company is, and the conclusions obtained through the theoretical model are verified through empirical research. This paper links climate attention with corporate information disclosure behavior, revealing how the corporate endogenous cognitive preferences are transformed into external market signals through strategic information disclosure, thereby promoting the dynamic optimization mechanism of corporate transparency.
