Chemoselectivity in the Reaction of N-Allyl Acrylamides with Aromatic Aldehydes via Decatungstate Photocatalysis

Decatungstate photocatalysis has attracted considerable interest in recent years. In this work, we examined the chemoselectivity of the reaction between N-allyl acrylamides and aromatic aldehydes under decatungstate photocatalytic conditions. The results demonstrate that acylation proceeds with selectivity for the electrondeficient double bond, and no cyclization products are observed.

The results demonstrate that acylation proceeds with selectivity for the electrondeficient double bond, and no cyclization products are observed.
