The Topological Weak Force: Algorithmic Excision, Transient Compilation Errors, and Digital Beta Decay in QGEFT

The current Paper 86 benchmark does not claim that the complete electroweak sector of the continuum Standard Model has been derived from first principles. It does show that the verified QGEFT repository now reproduces, in one self-contained Monte-Carlo experiment, the algorithmic core of weak decay. A stressed `d` quark (charge `-1/3`) at node 840 of a `41x41` vacuum is excised into a `u` quark (charge `+2/3`) plus a `W-` "compilation error" (charge `-1`) with exact flux conservation: `(-1/3) -> (+2/3) + (-1) -> (+2/3) + (-1) + (0)`, maximum deviation `5.6e-17`. The `W-` (`N_higgs = 60`) is born and erased in `1–3` clock sweeps with mobility `0.0000` and displacement `0` for seeds `{7,11,13}` (and lifetimes `1,2,3,1,1,1,3,1` across the eight-seed robustness check `{7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31}`) — it never takes a single step, which is why the weak force acts only over sub-atomic distances. The decay into `e-` and `anti-nu_e` is accepted with probability `1` (ΔE = `0.15 − 9.0 = −8.85`), and the products escape with the exact drag hierarchy: neutrino acceptance `1.0000`, electron `0.587–0.668` (theory `0.6065`), quark `0.0207` (theory `0.0183`), neutrino path `229–235` vs electron `130–156` cells. The null controls establish that the transition is pressure-driven (no pressure → no excision) and that the decay is the network's only escape from an immobile error (decay disabled → the `W-` sits frozen forever). The `W-` boson is thus not the carrier of a force; it is the pattern of a local rewiring by which an optimizing vacuum switches quark identity, building directly on the topological dictionary of Paper 82, the zero-drag neutrino of Paper 83, and the Metropolis-drag framework of Paper 84.
