Gene-Environment Interaction in Nonfamilial Corticobasal Syndrome in Monozygotic Twins With Differential Occupational Exposure
Corticobasal syndrome (CBS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder often linked to 4-repeat tauopathies. Most CBS cases are nonfamilial and lack identified pathogenic variants, raising the possibility of environmental contributors, polygenic risk factors, and gene-environment interactions.
