Adiposity and the Alzheimer Disease–Related Blood Biomarker, P-Tau217, in Community-Dwelling Midlife Women

Women have twice the dementia risk compared with men. Obesity contributes to the cardiovascular component of Alzheimer disease (AD). We hypothesize that adiposity would increase risk for raised Alzheimer disease–related blood biomarker, p-tau217, in community-dwelling midlife women.

Women have twice the dementia risk compared with men. Obesity contributes to the cardiovascular component of Alzheimer disease (AD). We hypothesize that adiposity would increase risk for raised Alzheimer disease–related blood biomarker, p-tau217, in community-dwelling midlife women.
