Calibrated low-cost acoustic sensing as a digital upgrade for Malaise-trap-based functional biodiversity monitoring

This repository contains the processed data and R scripts associated with the manuscript “Calibrated low-cost acoustic sensing as a digital upgrade for Malaise-trap-based functional biodiversity monitoring”. The archived materials support the acoustic and statistical analyses presented in the study, including microphone calibration, acoustic characterization of the investigated insect species, paired background and signal-to-noise analyses, comparison of the SPH0645 MEMS and PCB378A04 reference microphones, and generation of the corresponding figures and statistical outputs. This Zenodo record provides a versioned snapshot of the materials associated with the manuscript to support transparency, reproducibility, and long-term accessibility. The ongoing development repository is maintained on GitHub at https://github.com/Rhynchophorus/Sentinel.
