Temporal Causal Informatics — A Formal Theory of Causal Time, Residual Information, Bilateral Propagation, and 2SIN/1COS Closure

Temporal Causal Informatics (TCI) develops a formal computational theory in which time is treated not as an external coordinate but as an operational consequence of unresolved causal structure. The framework decomposes causal evolution into a shared law, an initial condition, and a unique parent residual object R. This residual admits three contextual projections: causal drive μ=Πdrive(R), informational innovation Rinfo=Πinfo(R), and closure residual ρ=Πclose(R). These quantities are therefore not independent objects, nor are they required to be numerically identical: they are distinct observable faces of the same underlying causal residue. The theory establishes a bilateral transaction structure in which any nontrivial causal relation admits two traversal orientations, defined up to exchange. Once an origin or initiating act is declared, these orientations become OUTBOUND and RETURN, while an orthogonal closure channel completes the minimal structure. This leads to the canonical 2SIN/1COS representation: two directed traversal components and one orthogonal closure component. For the golden-ratio realization developed here, Ksin=ϕ−1/2,Kcos=ϕ−1=Ksin2, with the exact identity 2(2Ksin)2+Kcos2=1. The work connects causal reconstruction, residual information, temporal activation, bilateral propagation, closure, sparse encoding, deterministic replay, and causal computation within a single formal architecture. The implementation includes executable kernels, cumulative tests, exact symbolic identities, replay validation, bilingual monographs, and integrity manifests. PASS025 closes the distinction between causal drive, informational innovation, and closure by deriving them as projections of one parent causal residual. It also formalizes the orientation condition required to distinguish outbound from return traversal. The mathematical and computational results presented here are internally formalized and reproducible. Claims concerning universal physical realization remain explicitly open to empirical testing.
