Effects of Commonly Used Pediatric Suspensions on the Color Stability of Different Restorative Materials

Background: This study aimed to conduct a comparative evaluation of the discoloration effects of commonly prescribed pediatric liquid medications on various restorative materials.Methods: Three restorative materials—composite resin, compomer, and glass ionomer cement—were tested with six pediatric suspensions (Calpol 6 Plus, Dolven, Augmentin, Ceftinex, Atarax, and Ferrosanol B). A total of 30 specimens were prepared using Teflon molds. Following polymerization, baseline color measurements were performed.
