Resource accessibility, mentorship, and growth constraints in Indian tech startups: a mixed-methods analysis of the TBI ecosystem
The Technology Business Incubators serve a crucial function within the Indian technology entrepreneurship environment in terms of promoting innovation commercialization, entrepreneurial competence development, institutional resource acquisition, and sustained business expansion. The current research seeks to identify the challenges that face startup ventures operating within TBIs, with an emphasis on the issue of resource acquisition, mentorship, and business expansion. Through the use of a mixed methods design, the current research uses quantitative survey data from 239 entrepreneurs along with qualitative interviews in order to develop empirical insight into the challenges facing startups. Some of the key constraints to growth include scaling challenges, market access challenges, and inefficiencies that affect innovation-based entrepreneurial development. The study has shown that the effects of TBI institutional support (β = 0.683), startup support services (STP) (β = 0.472), and mentorship (MS) (β = 0.294) on entrepreneurial satisfaction are statistically significant. Such findings offer some useful recommendations for improving TBI institutions, lowering intermediate dropout rates, ensuring startup viability, and enhancing innovation-based entrepreneurial growth.
