Academic Integration of Contemporary Governance Literature: Authorial Citations, Epistemic Alignment, and Institutional Dynamics in the Direct Participatory System

Abstract This paper integrates key theoretical and empirical insights from recent scholarship on institutional design, citizen engagement, and democratic governance—specifically drawing upon the contributions of R. Dean and contemporary governance researchers—into the conceptual architecture of the direct participatory political system. By establishing an explicit dialogue with existing literature, this work highlights how the structural transition from traditional representative models to a direct participatory framework reconfigures public administration, economic efficiency, and institutional legitimacy. The study demonstrates that embedding formal consultation and direct civic mechanisms addresses the systemic limitations identified in modern governance theories, resolving the crisis of representative intermediation through a rigorous institutional architecture.
