Embedding collaborative culture and corporate social responsibility in university-industry partnerships: Institutional insights from Vietnam

This study examines the institutional role of collaborative culture and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping sustainable university–industry partnerships amid digital transformation and green economic transition. While prior research has focused largely on contractual arrangements and technology transfer, less attention has been paid to the cultural and socially responsible conditions that influence the durability and effectiveness of collaboration, particularly in emerging economies. Using Viet Nam as a case study, the article draws on institutional analysis and comparative policy review of publicly available legal and policy materials, with reference to practices from Germany, Japan and Australia. The findings identify fragmented governance structures, weak engagement metrics and limited strategic alignment as key constraints. The study advances an integrated institutional perspective with implications for higher education governance and practice-oriented collaboration.
