Dyadic Neuroprofile Mapping: A Structured Reflexive Protocol for Cross-Neurotype Therapeutic Dyads
A therapist-side reflexive protocol for cross-neurotype therapeutic dyads. Built on the published dimensional framework of neurocognitive differences by Myhill & Jekel (2015), carried into IFS practice by Bolling (2021), and extended here to a different unit: the therapist–client dyad, where neurocognitive mismatch is compounded by clinical power. The therapist maps her own neurocognitive position in full; the client's position surfaces only as questions — what to notice, what to ask, where to stay open rather than certain. The record includes the protocol (PDF) and a one-page mapping sheet. A companion methodological paper ("From deficit to configuration: dyadic neuroprofile mapping for bias-awareness in cross-neurotype psychotherapy") sets out the theoretical argument, empirical questions, and limitations in full.
