Systematic Literature Mapping Protocol on Responsible AI Principles
The core theme of this study lies at the intersection of Moral Philosophy and Computer Science, focusing on the Philosophical Origins of Responsible AI Principles. While conventional computing primarily addresses deterministic and rule-bound systems, the recent paradigm shift toward Agentic AI introduces autonomous entities capable of goal formulation, multi-step planning, tool utilization, and self-directed execution. For such agents to operate reliably and remain safely aligned with human intent, abstract ethical concepts — such as justice, beneficence, non-maleficence, and autonomy — must be translated into concrete technical protocols and executable computational constraints. This study investigates how classical normative ethical theories (namely Deontology, Utilitarianism/Consequentialism, and Virtue Ethics) underpin modern AI governance frameworks and multi-agent system architectures.
