Extending and Integrating the Roof-Root Architecture: From AI Models, Continuity Memory, and Flow Processes to Physical AI and Ultranano Ubiquity
This follow-up design-science study extends the Roof-Root architecture from its initial operating-system and software-project scope to AI models, Continuity Memory, multi-model interoperability, AI-based flow processes, Physical AI, humanoid docking, and distributed compute-memory-energy environments. Roof and Root are treated as interaction-dependent roles rather than permanently assigned objects, while ROFT functions as a boundary for validation, authority mediation, state and outcome transfer, audit, and recovery. The study further decomposes humanoid docking into physical coupling, power, data and memory, runtime and resource sharing, authority and security, and separation and recovery planes, and integrates these functions through an authenticated session-state contract. It then proposes a cross-scale architecture connecting AI models, projects, robots, drones, edge nodes, and distributed resources. The farthest research horizon is defined as Ultranano Ubiquity: a future environment in which computation, memory, sensing, communication, and energy resources are decomposed into fine-grained distributed units and composed only when needed, while identity, Continuity Memory, purpose, authority, outcome, and recovery remain coherent through the Roof-Root structure. The paper presents architectural invariants, interface contracts, failure conditions, staged prototypes, and falsifiable propositions for future empirical validation.
