MindForm — Behavior and Life Outcome: Disposition Becomes Action, and the Ring Closes

Every node documented so far in this series either holds a piece of the character's state or transforms an experience on its way through the architecture. None of them acts. This paper documents Behavior and Life Outcome, the sink of the MindForm diagram, where accumulated disposition finally produces a stance in the world and the world's answer to that stance becomes the next lived experience. The node closes two loops earlier papers could only gesture at: the behavior gate Cognitive Patterns named and applied without yet being able to say what it was, and the reception and enacted-stance contract Social Expression specified and deferred. Disposition toward action is represented as two independent sensitivities rather than one bipolar axis, following Gray's separation of approach and inhibition systems, because states such as the anxious striver and the merely apathetic have no location on a single dimension. A third, faster quantity — a carried action readiness after Frijda — is derived from the two sensitivities against each event's cues and blended with inertia rather than replaced outright. The node's operant edge is asymmetric in two ways drawn from established principle, one a contingency gate rewarding a character's own causally effective action above an identical unearned outcome, the other the now-thrice-independently-implemented asymmetry between how strongly threat trains against how weakly safety extinguishes. A third asymmetry is drawn from neither theory nor precedent: credit for a positive turn flows only to a character already leaning in, foreclosing a specific and named deployment risk rather than following from any cited source. The node's own documentation makes an explicit, numeric stability argument for the first time in this series — we verify it holds for the loop it describes and show it is narrower than its placement suggests, since the same intensity factor it bounds also gates every other substrate's formation by the same multiplier. We also identify the paper's central unresolved tension: the cited theory holds sensitivity to be comparatively fixed, while the implementation makes it fully formable by the architecture's ordinary operant mechanism, anchored to a set-point that is itself the current, drifting trait vector rather than temperament. We record this as an open question rather than resolve it.
