The Territorial Regeneration Rent (TRR): The New Matrix of Chinese Development
This document analyzes Chinese economic history through the prism of the Theory of Rent Extraction (ToRE). It first demonstrates that the "seven dynastic declines" (from the Han to the Republic) obey a single Nodal Point logic: land monopolization exhausted the Space of Value, dooming the Empire to a violent Destruction of Wealth (peasant revolts) due to the lack of a regenerative alternative. The West temporarily "hacked" this cycle through industry and finance—before sinking into fictitious wealth—while China replicated this disequilibrium growth model on a continental scale from 1978 to 2018 via Tudi Caizheng. Reaching its own material Nodal Point in 2018, and faced with the structural inability of the immaterial sector (AI, carbon) to recreate exogenous demand, the CCP-State deployed Algorithmic Stasis as a mere temporal shield. Crucially, it has already empirically operationalized the Territorial Regeneration Rent (TRR) through pilot zones (Lishui, "Two Mountains Bank"). By injecting credit to restore degraded lands and turn them into a new Space of Value, the TRR emerges as the political culmination of two millennia of history: the peaceful mechanism finally allowing the short-circuiting of the fatal cycle of dynastic collapses.
