Appendix A — On Rereading "The Originating Zero": Corrections, New Observations and Open Questions

This appendix corrects, extends and declares open questions on "The Originating Zero" (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21976789, published August 17, 2026). Seventeen corrections are listed with original and revised text side by side. Four new observations are presented: (1) the relationship between α = 1/137 as originating principle and α ≈ 1/137.036 as fitted measurement; (2) the zero lost by the West for 1,500 years — Aristotle's dualism vs India's monism as numerical error; (3) the $2M question never asked — why 167 years of computation found no constant governing prime distribution; (4) the 12th Theorem applied to zeros along the critical line — Yang at the centre (rare, structured) and Yin at the surface (dense, crowded). Seven open questions are explicitly declared. The method is Kaizen: corrections published, not hidden. Each correction produced excess content that could itself have failed — the criterion distinguishing progressive corrections from ad hoc ones (Lakatos, 1970)
