Are we better than this?

As Luigi Mangione pled guilty to federal stalking charges in the killing of UnitedHealthcare (UHC) CEO Brian Thompson, it made me think about a lot of things. First and foremost, I want to be clear that I do not support the actions taken that led to Mr. Thompson's death, and I am sad for all involved, their families and loved ones.
