The Quarterback Market in the National Football League: Are Quarterbacks Overpaid?
The NFL is an increasingly growing multi-billion dollar corporation and despite that fact, NFL executives have a difficult time valuing their most prized on-field commodities: the quarterback. This can result in less talented quarterbacks earning more lucrative contracts than their more talented peers. This paper sets out to research previous studies and conclude whether or not quarterbacks are indeed overpaid or if there are additional variables that are attributed to the position’s high salaries.
