Made in New York: The City on Film

An in-depth look at the Made in NY tax incentive program, its successes, challenges and what it means to the future of film-making in New York City. In addition there is an analysis of several films and television shows that were produced and filmed in New York since the late 1960's. In the analysis I discuss how each film reflects/represents the city at the time it was made and how it addresses certain themes and topics that were important to the eras in which they were produced such as gender, race and class.
