FIGHT WEEK

This is a documentary about amateur boxers from New York City. The documentary follows two fighters through the training period leading up to an amateur fight and then through the fight itself. When witnessing the amount of work that goes into preparing for a fight and the risk that comes with engaging in hand-to-hand combat itself, it is natural to wonder why anyone would want to partake in boxing, especially when there are other routes that can be taken if an individual possesses athletic prowess. The documentary explores why the boxers chose boxing in particular, when it is a sport which requires an exceptional level of sacrifice and dedication unparalleled by any other sport.
