The Effects of Post-Feminism on Gender Equality in the Twenty First Century
Feminism has been a topic of discussion for many people, and especially in research. Some argue that feminism is no longer needed because women have more rights than they did when feminism first started. While that is true, feminism is still very much needed because gender inequality still exists. Examples of persistent gender inequality includes the following: pay inequality, sexual assault and harassment, and gender roles. This study analyzes feminism, specifically in regards to present day, persistent gender inequality. It questions how feminism has grown so much, yet there are still constraints. The research for this study relied on peer-reviewed journals. The goal of the paper is to demonstrate how important feminism is and how much women still need it to achieve gender full equality
