Creative Minds: Escaping Reality Through Art

Using Charles Mee's play, Orestes 2.0, which is a contemporary version of Euripedes' Orestes, this is a study of art therapy and it's effects it has on those suffering with mental illnesses, specifically Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. With a closer look at the character of Menelaus in Orestes 2.0, it is also a look into spreading awareness of PTSD and its effects on those diagnosed with PTSD, along with those closest to them. We study this through certain medias, including movies and theatrical plays.
