PIC'K
The physical, emotional, and mental effects of compulsive skin picking on an individual has a range of outcomes. It can take the form of a nervous habit, where you may just bite off a finger nail or two, to becoming debilitating , where you may spend hours in front of a mirror picking every blemish off your face. This senior project examines these effects on a direct and personal level through a series of interviews and visuals. Each aspect of the project demonstrates the different effects these compulsions have on a person. The posters are the physical, the book is the emotional, an the video is the mental. Creating this visual dialogue is crucial in truly learning about this issue an creating a solid understanding of what it is like to live with these compulsions.
