Chaos as an Organizing Principle
The following paper consists of the theme of chaos depicted through abstraction. This paper will trace how taking this theme has allowed me to stray away from the constrictions that I applied to my detail oriented works from the past. Artists like Luis Felipe Noe and Hugo McCloud inspired me to explore new ideas. The teachers and students at SUNY Purchase have also influenced me to take more challenges and risks in my works. This paper goes more in depth on how the method of spilling paint, using lines of different thicknesses, and various color choices transmit a sense of chaos throughout my pieces.
