Getting Your Head Screwed On Straight

This project consists mostly of a memoir discussing a critical event in the life of Julianne Willie Brodsky. As a person who has lived with chronic disability and chronic pain, Willie’s goal in writing this memoir was to tell her story in a way that was easy for anyone to understand, and more relatable than a laundry list of diagnoses. she tells the story of an experimental surgery that changed her life, providing a snapshot into a hospital-and pain-ridden world that too often remains invisible.
