Propelling Organizational Citizenship Behavior Through Collective Bargaining: The Mediating Role of Job Embeddedness in the Hospitality Industry

High employee turnover and mobility are global challenges affecting the hospitality sector, largely due to the dynamic employment environment. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to assess the impact of collective bargaining (CB) on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), mediated by job embeddedness (JE) in the hospitality sector. The study conveniently selected 302 employees from the hospitality sector in Zimbabwe. The findings of this study reveal that CB (predictor variable) directly impacts OCB (outcome variable) in the presence of the mediator (JE). Furthermore, the study establishes that JE partially impacts the relationship between CB and OCB.
