Expressive modalities of allyship and activism: strategies for representing insider stories from older adults experiencing disability
We are three women shamelessly committed to engaging in authentic ways with older adults experiencing disability. We bring generational, familial, personal, community, and disciplinary intersections to our proposed project, this being a robust description of strategies that can be used to generate, re-present, and disseminate insider stories from older adults experiencing disability. We will describe a) our strategies for engaging with older adults experiencing disability, b) the activities and contexts in which they can generate their stories, c) how we use different means of expression to re-present those stories, and d) how we use different modes of dissemination to get those stories to a broader audience.
