MEMORY THEORY: INTRODUCTION

For a hundred years, biology has lived in captivity of information metaphors. We talk about the "genetic code", "development program", "reading information". These metaphors have become so familiar that we have stopped noticing that there is no "decoder" in the cell. There are only molecules, electrostatic fields, weak bonds, and energy flows. The Non-Information Theory of Life (NTA) brings biology back to a physical foundation. In the Theory of Memory series, we show how life arises and persists through physical memory, from temporary imprints in water to long-term carbosignatures in neurons. We propose a new paradigm: the Triangle of Life – consisting of three inseparable components: memory, enzymes and energy. Water creates primary memory (tetrasignatures). Carbon structures fix it through carbomorphosis, becoming carriers of enzymatic activity (carbosignature). Energy supports and drives the whole process. Without one of these elements, life is impossible. Their unity is life. This introduction is intended to help the reader understand the logic and sequence of the entire work, to see how the eight articles in the series add up to a unified physical theory of life.
