Next generation graphene based MXene metamaterial multicylinder resonator solar absorber optimized with machine learning for conceptual solar dryer mining applications
In the field of industry and mining sectors, energy demand is rapidly increasing, and it is very necessary to develop a durable, scalable, and broadband solar thermal absorber. And a conventional absorber has a narrowband absorptance and low thermal stability, so fulfil these requirements using graphene and MXene-based metamaterial absorbers as a next-generation solar absorber. This study shows the MXene and Graphene-based Multicylinder Resonator Solar Thermal Absorber (MGMRSA). Graphene and MXene are incorporated in the top layer of MGMRSA, whereas Si 3 N 4 and Cr are employed in the substrate and ground component of MGMRSA. This MGMRSA is simulated with the FEM (Finite Element Method) approach to investigate the absorber and its various results. More than 95% thermal absorptance was achieved by MGMRSA at 200 to 3500 nm wavelength with a 1026 nm bandwidth of the ultra-broadband. This MGMRSA absorbs 90.59% radiation at the UV, 94.27% radiation at the VIS, and 95.64% at the IR ranges. Polarization-insensitive MGMRSA was investigated with Machine Learning (ML), using the Locally Weighted Linear Regression (LWLR) for a better outcome. Transverse Electric (TE) and Magnetic (TM) responses were studied with a wide-angle response study and analyzed. The multicylinder’s unique geometry traps higher absorption and is used for solar dryers in mining uses and solar energy harvesting.
