The Pelletier Concentric Brane Hypothesis

This document proposes a speculative cosmology hypothesis combining higher-dimensional braneworld theory with a curvature-dependent mechanism for energy exchange between our observable universe (a "brane") and a higher-dimensional bulk. The central proposal is that extreme localized gravitational curvature- such as near a black hole- may alter brane-bulk coupling in ways that are negligible under ordinary conditions but become significant in high-curvature regimes, potentially contributing to late-time cosmic acceleration, dark-matter-like effects, and the formation of large-scale cosmic underdensities. A second, more speculative extension-termed "cosmic heredity"- proposes that structrual information from a parent brane/bulk configuration could become imprinted in the initial conditions of a related daughter brane, producing potential statistical correlations between them. This hypothesis is presented as a conceptual starting point requiring formal mathematical evaluation, not as a completed or verified theory. The author does not have formal training in theoretical physics or the mathematical background required to derive or test the proposed mechanisms independently. The purpose of this document is to lay out the hypothesis clearly enough, including explicit falsifiability conditions, that physicists working in braneworld cosmology and related fields can assess whether it is mathematically viable, already addressed by exisiting work, or falsifiable thorugh further analysis. Feedback, critique, and correction are welcomed. For conceptual inquiries, discussions, or mathematical feedback, the author can be reached at [email protected].
