Environmental Determinants of Habitat Suitability for the White-browed Sparrow-Weaver (Plocepasser mahali) in the Zambezi Valley Biosphere Reserve, Zimbabwe: Implications for Climate-Resilient Conservation Planning
This dataset contains occurrence records and associated data used to model habitat suitability for the white-browed sparrow-weaver (Plocepasser mahali) in the Mid-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve, Zimbabwe. Field surveys recorded a total of 937 occurrence points across the study area using a road-based stratified sampling design. Occurrence records were screened for spatial errors, duplicate locations and records outside the study area prior to species distribution modelling. The dataset supports a Maximum Entropy (MaxEnt) analysis investigating the climatic and topographic determinants of habitat suitability for white-browed sparrow-weaver and the spatial distribution of potentially suitable environmental conditions within the reserve. The data are provided to support transparency, reproducibility and future ecological research in the Mid-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve.
