Preformulation studies includingorganoleptic evaluation, solubility, pH, and flow properties were performed to ensurecompatibility and stability. The prepared herbal cough candies were evaluated for physical characteristics, hardness, moisture content, dissolution time, content uniformity, microbial load, and stability. Theresults showed acceptable appearance, uniform weight, adequate hardness, low moisturecontent, and prolonged dissolution time indicating sustained soothing action. Among allformulations, batch F3 showed optimal performance and stability. The study concluded that herbal cough candy is a safe, effective, and patient-friendly dosageform with improved compliance and prolonged therapeutic action for cough management.
