Safety Properties Are Properties of the Error Regime: Boundary Conditions on Quorum Validation and a Design Principle for Detectability
Three safety properties of a quorum protocol are measured to be properties of the error regime rather than of the protocol itself. The design principle that follows: the floor of a validation system must be coupled to its filter, or the guarantee is conditional on an error regime nobody stated.
