When your boundaries of professionalism are compromised: navigating field access with female sex workers and activists in Delhi, India
Decolonised gendered knowledge, generated by Indian sexualities researchers is limited. This paper explores the rationale behind it. By focusing primarily on insider-outsider dilemma, impact of researcher positionality during data collection, researcher empathy and guilt, along with stigma faced by sexualities researchers within and outside academia, the paper adopts a reflexive autoethnographic methodological approach to contribute towards a decolonised sexualities knowledge within a wider neo-liberal academia.
