Repeatable temporal barcodes reveal bounded cross-region association in mouse visual-thalamic recordings

Repeated flicker generated measurable response barcodes across mouse thalamic and visual populations. The responses were reliably associated across regions, but the data did not distinguish a forward thalamocortical route from shared stimulus-driven structure. This distinction prevents an observational recording result from being overstated as causal gating.

Abstract

Repeated flicker generated measurable response barcodes across mouse thalamic and visual populations. The responses were reliably associated across regions, but the data did not distinguish a forward thalamocortical route from shared stimulus-driven structure. This distinction prevents an observational recording result from being overstated as causal gating.
