Deliverable D3.3 Context Dependency of the Implementation of the Practices and Systems
Deliverable 3.3 of the AGROWISE project (LIFE-2023-PLP, Grant Agreement No. 101148740), produced within Work Package 3. This report develops a framework for analysing the agro-environmental context dependency of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and agroecological practices. Based on a structured review of nine existing frameworks and supporting empirical literature, it consolidates recurring biophysical and agronomic determinants into six context indicator groups (climate and weather, soil characteristics and hydrology, landscape structure and topography, biodiversity and ecosystem functions, pest pressure and biotic risk context, and temporal and legacy effects). The deliverable provides the methodological and conceptual basis for cross-regional comparison of IPM performance and supports pesticide-reduction goals under the EU Farm to Fork and Biodiversity Strategies.
