Astrobios Hypothesis – Paper II: The Emergence of Time from Information and Synchronization: A Pre-Quantum Framework for Temporal Order

The fundamental nature of time remains one of the central unresolved problems in modern theoretical physics. Although time serves as a basic parameter in classical mechanics, relativity, and quantum theory, its ontological status continues to be debated. General Relativity incorporates time into the four-dimensional geometry of spacetime, whereas several approaches to quantum gravity suggest that time may not be fundamental but instead emerge from deeper physical structures. Despite substantial progress, no universally accepted mechanism has been established to explain how temporal order originates. This paper presents the second component of the Astrobios Hypothesis, proposing a theoretical framework in which time is interpreted as an emergent phenomenon arising from information transfer and phase synchronization within a proposed Pre-Quantum Substrate. Extending the cosmological model introduced in Paper I, the present work assumes that the primordial Neutral State exists independently of conventional spacetime and therefore lacks temporal succession. Following the destabilization of this state, the emergence of the conjugate α (expansive) and β (contractive) field phases enables information exchange, dynamic synchronization, and the gradual formation of ordered temporal relations. Within this framework, time is not regarded as a fundamental physical entity or an independently flowing dimension. Instead, observable temporal ordering is hypothesized to arise from the evolution of informational relationships established through the interactions of the α and β field phases. The progression from timeless equilibrium to observable causality is therefore interpreted as an emergent property of the underlying dynamical organization of the proposed Pre-Quantum Substrate. To provide a formal description of this hypothesis, a preliminary mathematical framework is introduced in which information density, synchronization dynamics, phase evolution, and emergent temporal ordering are represented through conceptual mathematical relations. These expressions are presented as a theoretical formalization of the proposed model rather than experimentally established physical laws. Their primary purpose is to provide an internally consistent foundation for future analytical development, numerical simulations, and possible experimental investigation. The proposed framework also generates several testable predictions concerning the relationship between information transfer, synchronization processes, relativistic time dilation, quantum coherence, and cosmological evolution. These predictions offer potential pathways for evaluating the internal consistency and empirical relevance of the Astrobios model through future theoretical and observational studies. The Astrobios Hypothesis does not seek to replace the established mathematical structure of General Relativity or Quantum Mechanics. Instead, it proposes an alternative ontological interpretation in which the emergence of time is understood as a consequence of information-driven organization within a more fundamental pre-spacetime substrate. If further theoretical development and empirical investigation support this framework, it may provide a complementary perspective on the origin of temporal order and its role in cosmology and quantum gravity.
