The 380-Degree Rupture: Anwar Frangi's Creocratic Revolution (1): The Origin of the Creocratic State

This article, the first in a five-part series on Anwar Frangi’s creocratic revolution, presents the origin of the creocratic state. It begins with Frangi’s Galilean analogy: just as Galileo reversed Aristotle’s physics by showing that motion is natural and rest is derivative, Frangi reverses the person-based tradition of political philosophy by showing that creative activity is natural and persons are derivative. Through a series of thought experiments, Frangi demonstrates that the state must be understood not as an artificial person but as creative activity enacted by humans in the image of their creative activity. The article traces Frangi’s argument line by line, from the Galilean analogy through the two political thought experiments to the ontological conclusion that creative activity exists prior to and independently of human beings and the state. It defines the concept of “creative activity” that grounds Frangi’s entire political philosophy and establishes the essential-accidental distinction: creative activity is essential; persons are the variable means. The article concludes that Frangi’s origin of the creocratic state provides a new foundation for political legitimacy, one that disarms the power of the person-based state and opens the possibility of solving questions that previous political regimes have been unable to resolve. Future articles in this series will examine Frangi’s place in the political tradition (Article 2), the 380-degree rupture (Article 3), the mechanics of creocratic governance (Article 4), and Frangi’s theory of groupal education (Article 5).
