Hybrid treatment of a floating abdominal aortic thrombosis in a patient with recurrent arterial embolism of both lower extremities and morbid obesity
We present successful treatment of a patient with a floating thrombus in abdominal aorta, morbid obesity (BMI 35.1 kg/m2) and recurrent post-embolic chronic ischemia of both lower extremities. Hybrid surgical treatment included abdominal aortic stenting with fixation of a floating thrombus and femoral bypass surgery of both lower extremities.
